Animal Browse

Please browse our available hounds.  Clicking on each picture will open up the web page for each hound.  Before you apply to adopt, please take the time to visit our adoption information page here

If you already know which hound you want to adopt... go straight to the adoption application form you will find on this page.  The form allows you the option to say which hound you are interested in, or (if they don't appear in the drop down choices) tell us in one of the comment fields.

NOTE - there may be multiple applications for the same dog. Our adoption liaison officer will consider all applications and make the best match possible . We don't place dogs 'first come, first served'. Yours may be the best application! And if not, we know there will be another hound that is the right match.

Why do we only have sponsorship, senior or hard to place bassets in our 'Available Dogs' list? Because we already have a list of approved adopters who get our younger and easier to place bassets before they ever get put on the website. We strongly suggest that you get an approved application on file so you don't miss out. Don't wait for a dog you like to appear on the available dogs list! Check out our Successful Adoptions page - and then complete an Adoption Application if you want a basset hound to add to your family!

If you haven't yet found the hound whose photo hits the spot... still fill in the application.  The information you can tell us will help our adoption coordinator suggest the best fit for you before they even get to the website.  Thank you SO MUCH for choosing to adopt - you won't regret it!!
