Other Rescue Organizations

Golden Gate Basset Rescue works closely with our neighboring California basset rescue organizations, and with those in neighboring states.  We are members of the alliance known as "West Coast BROAD" (Basset Rescue Organizations Allied Division), to improve the procedures we follow in identifying and securing the release to rescue of hounds from shelters across the state.  

We try not to place our dogs to other states or areas of California, but by working with our colleagues we can make sure that home checks are carried out, dogs are transported safely, and we are there to support each other to make sure that "no basset hound is left behind".
