Aila's foster parent has this to say about her:

Aila is a wonderful little dog!

She's about 30 pounds, super soft, short coat with a beagle face and long, velvety Basset ears.  She's a sweet, sweet girl and loves cuddles and pets. Her activity level is pretty mellow. She basically does whatever I  do. If I'm on the couch, she's on the couch sleeping. If I go work in the back yard, she goes out and chases squirrels or plays with my other basset. 

She is crate-trained so I have her sleep in the crate at night and then she's in there when I leave. She whines a little at first, but then she just goes to sleep.

She is a little bit of a table surfer, but not the kitchen counters. (yet!)

I think she would be great with a family who has kids or with someone who is home most of the time or will take her for walks and to the park. She's very, very sweet. She is totally interested in my cat, but does not chase him because he does not run.
