Ellis is an approx. 9 year old neutered male with exceptional manners and temperament. He was reportedly a breeder his whole life and, as such, is accustomed to spending a lot of time outside. He is a sweet, sweet boy who loves ear scratches and belly rubs. He has displayed no separation anxiety at his foster home and does well with other dogs, large and small, as well as cats. He is not inclined to get onto furniture and prefers to nap on the floor, sometimes on a cozy blanket, if provided. He does not, however, relish vet visits, and it is recommended that he be muzzled during them. He does not tolerate ear cleanings or nail trimmings by the faint of heart and it is also recommended that these be done periodically by a professional. It is unknown how is he with small children. He is also not a big "barker" and will do so only if other resident  dogs are barking."
