I would like to introduce you to Presley. He is @6 years old, loves children and as you can see, gets along well with other dogs and cats. Presley does live with another dog, Mic, who is a lab mix. Presley and Mic have lived together on and off for the last 3 years. Presley is shy with dogs he does not know and does have a very annoying habit of barking at the dogs next door.
Presley has lived with me for about a year. He is my son's dog and came to live with me when my son and granddaughters moved in. They have moved out, but Presley was not able to move with them because my son now lives with a woman who has 3 rescued pit bulls. I did not want Presley to go to an animal shelter, so I decided to keep him at my house with a mission to find him a good home. I will be moving in early 2012 and can keep him until then. Once I move, I won't be able to take him, nor can I afford to keep him.
I have attached his recent vet examination check list. I don't believe he has been to the vet much, so this the most recent assessment he has. He does need to have his ears washed out once a week. He is not thrilled with that, I have to sit on his back in order for him to take the drops!
He is a very sweet dog, but as you know, Bassets are thick headed and Presley can be stubborn. When he doesn't want to move, he will plant himself and it takes energy to move him. :) He loves to go for walks and loves snacks, but be careful, if your not paying attention he will grab it out of your hand.
