COURTESY LISTING FOR 4PAWS RESCUE:  George is an approximately 3 year old neutered male Basset Hound. What a nice boy this guy is!! He was found running loose in Southern California by a good samaritan who tried to relocate his owners but was unable to. She called us to see if we could try and find him a new home and here he is! We can't see how George would ever get lost because his foster owners have him loose in their front yard and he pretty much just lounges around. 

George LOOOOOVES to get his belly rubbed and will flop over at any moment if he thinks he can sucker you into it. We don't know how he would do with really young children, but he stayed a weekend with his foster owners at a family member's house who have kids 10+ and he enjoyed their company and seemed to get along with them very well. He enjoys the company of other dogs and has been really good with them and likes to play, but likes to be in charge. He would probably do best with a female companion or an easy going boy. 

George is GREAT in the car and even tries his darndest to jump into his foster owner's big Dodge truck. Quite a feat for those stumpy little legs!

George will only be adopted into a home where there is another dog as a companion, no exceptions. He gets very lonely without a dog friend and we learned that he is much happier living with another dog. Also, we would prefer him to live in a home with a yard as he loves to lounge in the sun when the weather is nice.
