Penny Lane was found on a golf course with a golden retriever in Corona, CA in September 2008. Her card described her as a sweet heart who was very vocal, even more than the average Basset. A good ear cleaning and a spay later she came home to live with my husband and I, and our Mastiff and St Bernard.  We went through basic obedience training with her, and potty trained her right away. Unfortunately with all of the work and time we have put into having her, we have found that she would be better suited in a different sort of household. She would be better suited to a family who knows the strange quirks of  basset hounds such as their neediness. She barks and howls, but mostly just when we are coming or going out of the house. I believe that she struggles greatly with separation anxiety. I think that she would benefit most in a house where she could rule the roost and have someone there to love and snuggle her the whole day! She is good with kids, although her exposure to children under 5 is very little. She was very interested in hanging out with our cat, but was always very sweet with him. She does very well with dogs of all sizes, and only gets a bit impatient when hyper puppies are too persistent in their desires to play. Even then, she is all bark and no bite. All in all she is a very sweet girl, who deserves a forever home.

OWNER FOUND A HOME WITH SOME FRIENDS WHO HAVE A LAB. LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT FOR BOTH THEM AND THE DOG SO THEY TOOK HER HOME.
