The lovely Maybellene is a 2 1/2 year old German Shepherd/Basset mix...everyone who meets her says she is a very sweet little dog. 

Here is what her foster mom has to say about Maybellene. "The "mix" part is a little bit naughty and a whole lot of nice! ...She's long and lean, every Basset lover's dream, and can clean counter tops with style! But, she's an eager learner and is still learning house manners. She's usually quiet in the house, but noisy and VERY active when out walking and playing with other dogs. She likes tug toys, as long as someone else is interested. Loves people, checks in with me regularly when walking. In her exuberance, she frequently jumps up or gives little nips/tugs at my clothing. She acts very much like a young one-year-old in her activity level, rather than the two-year-old that [the vet] estimated her to be. ... She eats eagerly, sleeps in a wire crate at night, and crates eagerly. She will occasionally have accidents in her crate. [Still working on house training]. Loves to ride in the car. She is active and good with dogs, big and small, doesn't appear to have separation anxiety."
