Meet Bella!
Sadly, 7 year old Bella and 11 year old Puppers and came to GGBR after their owner passed away. Being without her beloved owner was a difficult adjustment for Bella at first but she is warming up to her foster family, two legged and four legged! She is definitely an “I need to be with you at” dog, friendly with everyone, other dogs, cats & people.
Although currently separated from Puppers, Bella would probably love to be adopted with Puppers, if possible. A comfy bed or spot on the sofa is what she wants, and her person to snuggle with. She has a lot of love to give to her new furver family.
Bella was recently spayed and given a clean bill of health other than some fatty tumors that Bassets tend to get. Unlike so many of the dogs GGBR takes in, Bella’s teeth are in pretty good shape! The vet was not worried about her teeth or the tumors at all! She just turned seven years old and still has a lot of puppy energy! She would like to be the alpha dog in the house, but, at least at her foster home, that role is already taken. She and Knox, another foster dog from West Coast Bloodhound Rescue will play and play and play!
Bella is a good traveler in the car and walks well on a leash. She knows a few basic commands, sit, wait, and takes treats like a lady! She uses the doggie door and when it is closed, will le tyou know she wants to go out. She would do best in a furver home where there is another playful dog and someone home most of the time.
Bella is currently being fostered in Cameron Park, outside of Sacramento, but her foster family is willing to travel for any potential meet n greets with prospective adopters.
