Learn more about the Basset Hound.
Olive was purchased by her original owner from a breeder in Indiana and is very bonded with a senior dog with whom she lived in the owner's home. The owner recently passed away suddenly, leaving behind Olive and the senior Sebastian. Both dogs were placed in the shelter and after two weeks were claimed by the owner's nephew and his family. They were not able to keep Olive, but intended to keep terminally ill Sebastian. When the potential foster adopt home for Olive visited the nephew's home, the adopter realized that she could not separate Olive and Sebastian and thus she took in Sebastian as well as Olive.
Olive is a very timid dog who is particularly fearful of men. She is good with kids and cats and is definitely bonded to her 'older sibling' Sebastian. She is a healthy, playful active little gal who enjoys her walks and does her best to get Sebastian to play. Special Needs: Olive and Sebastian (Livermore) are a bonded pair and are to stay together.
