Arnold's foster parent has this to say about him:
Arnold is a very sweet Basset... he is so wiggly and happy when he first sees you it makes your heart melt.  He is a sensitive guy and does not like loud voices or fireworks. He gets along well with the other dogs-he hasn't started playing with them yet, but they are being diligent in their attempts. Once he is feeling more secure I am sure he will join in the play. We have a rabbit that is loose in the house and he is doing fine with it. It took a couple of days of working with him on leave it, but now he understands that rabbits are friends not toys. He has been going for walks and does well on a leash, he pulled a little in the beginning but is learning not too. He does like to counter surf and loves getting into the trash. Really loves the trash. A lot. and often. We will outsmart him with it eventually-I hope. Arnold is a picky eater, has not developed a taste for our dog food. We have mixed in some wet food with it to entice him but he just eats the wet and leaves the rest. We will try another flavor soon and see how that goes. The biggest challenge is getting him into the car. He will not willingly get in. I had to lift him in several times when he went to the vet. I even tried bribing him with a hotdog and he wouldn't have it.
Arnold is a great little guy!
